Lady Bracknell’s Legacy

Lady Bracknell's Legacy

Written and performed by James Pellow

It’s Thursday afternoon at Meadowcroft, “Residential Accommodation for Those in the Theatrical Profession”. Two contrasting theatricals are caught in reflective mood.  Devonia deRudge is a self-styled ‘Grande Dame’ of the English stage. “I played Lady Bracknell you know… performance stopped the show”.  Naturally cheerful, Freddie Farnsworth is immaculately & colourfully dressed. The friendship that has developed between these two is as charming as it is surprising. They both reflect on what might’ve been, and it’s this that somehow unites them. James plays both characters in this poignant and witty piece

The Vera Fletcher Hall is a registered Charity and exists to provide community space and entertainment for its local community. All donations will support continuing to bring professional entertainment to the theatre.
